Celebrate 250 Years of Freedom by Reading the Bible in 2026
Join Us for a Unique 2026 Bible Reading & lay study of American History to celebrate 250 Years of Freedom during America's Semi-quincentennial.
In 2026, we’ll be reading the entire Bible using a 1-Year Chronological Plan — but with a special purpose:
✨ To explore how the same, timeless Scriptures were used to encourage, strengthen, and guide the patriots during the American Revolution.
✨This is NOT a traditional Bible study. Instead, it is an independent Bible reading (everyone follows the same plan on their own), with a group emphasis on how Scripture impacted the Revolutionary era. 📜 Group focus on Scripture and historical context — sermons, letters, pamphlets, speeches, and events of 1776 and the Revolution. 🗣️ Participants are encouraged to contribute Scripture, historical materials, quotes, letters, or context tied to the same Scriptures we are reading through Monthly Zoom meetings and a Facebook group centered on the history and corresponding Scriptures, not teaching doctrine. Our goal is to honor Scripture, honor our shared history, and honor the spirit of perseverance that guided our founding generation. Whether you love the Bible, American history, or both — this is a meaningful way to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States while journeying through God’s Word, nourishing your Soul and restoring our nation.

I'll be using the Geneva Bible, which is the same Bible that was used by George Washington and the majority of original colonists. You may use any version, as the Bible is a Timeless Treasure.

BACKGROUND
A little background about me.
I am not a Bible scholar, theologian or licensed pastor. I am not a historian either!
I am an individual who has been dramatically TRANSFORMED by God and His only Son Jesus Christ, by the power of His Holy Spirit. I am compelled to share how reading through God's Word has impacted my life in order to give HOPE to the world. I encourage everyone to determine in their spirit the endeavor of reading through the BIBLE for themselves, in order to personally know God better, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
I also have been personally impacted by the history I have learned through the researching of my own Family Tree. Many of my ancestors fought in the American Revolution and my lineage traces all the way back to the original colonists, and beyond. Learning about them helped heal me and helped me learn about myself.
